CREATING A PIECE OF ART EVERYDAY

I create a piece of art every day. I am now at the third year with over 1000 pieces created.

Creating every day is a discipline. It helps me progress as I play with different techniques and experiment without any pressure. And it relaxes me too. I believe that it’s important to do something that brings you joy every day.

Out of the hundreds of pieces created , only a few pieces made it to my website to be sold to the public. That’s ok and that’s absolutely normal.

People expect to start creating and progress quickly. But the truth is that you have to be ready to put in the time to see improvements.

They say 10,000 hours to become an expert at something. I’m only scratching the surface.

YEAR 1

Here is a video of the first 365 daily arts summarized in 2 minutes. How it all started.

YEAR 2

Creating Art every day – Year 2 – Art 366 to 806.

I started creating again during Covid when I could not travel and needed to reconnect with my happiness.

YEAR 3

As I am writing this, I am in the middle of completing year 3.

I am proud to have reached the 1000 daily arts on April 10th, 2022, and counting …

WHY DO I CREATE SOMETHING EVERY DAY?

I create a piece of art every day because I want to stay connected to my  creativity and improve my art.

With this daily practice, I’m learning to let go of judgment and self-critic.
I’m learning to let go of perfection.

I’m learning to be patient with myself when the progress doesn’t show as fast as I would like to.

HOW DID THAT DAILY PRACTICE CHANGE ME?

Creating every day is like meditation for me. It has a calming effect and self-judgment. I learned to prioritize what was important for me no
matter what.

HOW DO YOU STAY MOTIVATED?

When I feel tired or if the creation process is difficult, I always remind myself that it doesn’t have to be perfect.

Some days are good and some days are not so good and that’s ok.

If you want to do big things it is best to do small steps with consistency rather than trying to do everything perfectly and be overwhelmed.

Small things add ups if they are repeated every day.

Thirty minutes of art every day doesn’t seem overwhelming but repeat that every day for many years and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish.

I call it Blissipline. It’s a mix of Discipline and Bliss.
